Hello and welcome to Designs by Tonya Goudy. Hopefully you will find my posts utterly engaging and fabulous, lol. A little about me to start. My name is Tonya, I am a single stay at home mom and I live on MT. ST. Helens in Washington state. I have a 5 year old daughter that is up here with me and a 15 year old son who lives in town, hes 15 and the mountain is not for him so he lives with grandpa which is great because boys need good strong men to teach them how to be good strong men.
I am a artsy creative type. I currently run a online business where I design and makes girly girl boutique clothing and womens clothing, purses and accessories. Told you I was one of those artsy creative types. I truely enjoy be able to be at home and create, I once upon a lifetime was a upper level manager for nightclubs and had to be away from home for 80+ hours a week, wasn't easy being a mom or being myself and loving God being away for so long and in a crazy enviroment.
The mountain and my own little girly girl inspire me to create, cook and just do zany mom things. So that is where this blog is going to go, in every direction. From cooking to creating to crazy mom stuff. I hope you stick around and watch for recipes, how-tos and mom-isms. God bless, enjoy life and give back!
What's for dinner?
This is a great recipe for those that like sweet meat, kids love it, my daughter who is picky will eat everything and get seconds.
1 bottle of Jamaica Mistake Dressing (dressing is from the johnny's company and I get it at my local grocery store. It is usually in the salad dressing isle)
1 bag of baby carrots
Potatoes, I use plain potatoes cut in half depending on size, yukons work also
1 large sweet onion sliced
1 beef roast or boneless chicken breast
Put the bottle of Jamaiaca Mistake in then meat, potatoes and carrots and layer the sliced onion on top. I also fill the Jamaiaca Mistake bottle up halfway (or more depending on crock pot size) with water and pour over the top. As for temp either all day on medium or 4.5 to 5 on high depending on you crock pot. Meat should fall apart.
It is so good. The kids love it so much, the first day we do a roast in it and then with the sauce left the next day we do the chicken with the carrots, potatoes and onion. So good!!
